This and that, mostly geek-stuff...

"I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something."
Steve Jobs

It’s been a while since I posted a YouTube cover song now… this is actually the daughter of a friend. The video is shot in Vestfold, Norway.

So I recently cancelled my Spotify subscription and signed up for Deezer.

My main concern was my playlists that I’ve built over the years, but that was no problem thanks to the great webapp http://spotizr.com/.

The cool thing about Deezer playlists is that you can add your own image to them, so they are easier to recognize and personalize.

Are you on Deezer. Visit my profile and hook up :-)

We’re moving into a new house in November. It’s three floors, so I’ve been pondering for a while now about what to do with WiFi in the house.
Today we just have an Apple Airport Extreme. It’s done a good job in our current flat for many years now, so I’ve been considering buying a few Airport Express routers to expand the network.
But I really hate have Apple has removed functionality from the Airport Utility, so I wanted something more powerful.
I’ve been eyeballing the Asus routers lately, and suddenly Komplett.no had a really cheap bundle of the RT-AC66U router with the RP-AC52 repeater.
So I ordered this bundle, and an additional RP-AC52 repeater. I received it yesterday, but there is no point in trying it out until we move, so I’m really looking forward to trying it out in a couple of months…

Lenovo is launching one hell of a Android-device, the Vibe Z2 Pro.

It features a six-inch Quad HD (2,560x1,440) screen, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, along with 3GB RAM and a 16MP rear camera with dual LED flash and optical image stabilization.

The battery is whooping 4,000mAh and you get 32GB of storage, no added memory-slot.

Google Hangouts: No More Google Plus Required

New post written by Erik Lim

Google has just announced that business users no longer need to have a Google Plus account in order to use Google Hangouts.

From this point on, business users only need to have a Google Apps customer account. Google is cutting ties with Google Plus in order to attract more business users to the Hangouts service.
